January 22, 2005

I won my age group! Who says Christmas only comes once a year....you have 3 more races!!! Your race was a very fun race. Wish the fog wasn't as thick so everyone could see the beauty of the Orlando Wetlands.

I'd wanted to emphasize that I thought the venue at the Orlando Extreme was OUTSTANDING!! I enjoyed it all day while doing the marathon, and went back a couple of days later and did some birding and attempted to continue cleanup of the route beyond Aid Station #1, but it was very clean out to about Aid Station #4 (where I had to exit), as it must have been cleaned by someone else after I finished my last lap on Saturday. Please continue to use this wonderful venue! I REALLY enjoyed the hospitality, the finisher's plaque, the fresh bread and fruit, the positive attitudes.
Thanks! Keep up the good work!

I Just wanted to take the time to tell you I really enjoyed the race today and thought it was well organized. Please thank your support staff, the gang running the support stations and your photographer. Without them, I would have been crawling back. This was my first marathon and my family really enjoyed watching. Thanks for letting my daughter cross the finish line with me. That meant a lot to her. The course was perfect and better than what I expected. Look forward to your other events this year and hopefully the off-road marathon next year. Good job, keep up the good work.

Hi. The race was so much fun and I think it went really well. Thank you for giving me my first opportunity to run the 5k. I would love to participate in another event."

On the positive side, that was a spectacular site. I was really shocked by the beauty of the place...the walk to the start was a great way to start the morning. I hold nothing against the race organization for the late start...the foggy conditions make that totally understandable. I liked the electronics...made for a quick, smooth, and accurate presentation of results.

The number of aid stations was great.

I thought the event went off great. First of all the venue was a runners dream, hard packed dirt roads, less chance of injury and saves the legs all that pavement pounding. The weather cooperated pretty good, 50 ish at the start, and foggy, and it stayed kind of foggy/overcast until the last couple of laps. The aid stations had helpful explorers and the electrolyte drink worked, and that's a compliment to it. The awards were nice and the photo's taken were superb. One of my favorite marathons.
