I enjoyed my experience at the Fourth Annual Fall Triathlon at Moss Park. As a blind participant entered in the "My First Triathlon" I had a lot of questions before the event that were answered and replied by phone & email promptly by your staff. I received support & encouragement from all staff members along the way and during the race. The webinar was helpful too. We had a lot of curiosity and questions from other athletes about our 10 foot long bungy cord tied between myself and my sighted guide during the swim and then our tandem bike during the race. I love to be a part of these events and to have an opportunity to inspire and show others that we can all overcome obstacles such as a disability like blindness or if it's just having a bad day. It's all in the positive mental attitude. I tell my friends that I have an advantage since I can't actually see how far it is to the finish line, I just keep going until I get there. I focus on what I can do and not on what I can't do.

I like the run course - it nice to have shade. The bike course feels fairly fast due to the flat nature, which is good, but the numerous turns can be annoying as they slow one down. I like the firm, sandy bottom of the lake and that there are no weeds...

You may want to publicize the Series more and the volunteer "race bucks" program. Nice trophies!... Great race, great volunteers, great swim, bike & run course. Great directions/course workers & police on the bike course. Great getting the results posted so fast and getting the awards under way quickly. Michelle is a great announcer. Great shade/overcast on the run; let's have that in every race.
See you at the next race!

P.S. This was my 89th triathlon today

Great race this weekend. Overall was very organized and fun. Course was well marked. The webinar definitely helped to clarify any questions I had, especially about transitioning. And Z was pretty entertaining. Without attending, some areas could have been confusing. Overall it was a great time.

I competed in the Olympic Triathlon today at Moss Park. Here are some observations.
Zahid Buttar's involvement at the race was a nice touch, and his familiarity with many of the competitors made a very friendly environment. Nice. The course location was good; much of it shaded. The post-race pizza was good. It hit the spot after I cooled off.

Great event yesterday… tell “Z” from an athletes perspective the event went over superbly… race personnel were really friendly and things went smooth…

You did a very good job at the race. You seemed to have enough volunteers on the bike course (at turns, very helpful) and it went smoothly and efficient. Plenty of water and post race food. And for you to be humble and thankful for people showing up was very classy. Too many times race directors take it for granted. I appreciated the sincere gesture of thanks at the post race awards.
