Hello,
My name is Laura Hopkins. This past Thanksgiving was my first Buttar/Team Epic event. I registered well in advance. I came in from out of town and wanted to make sure I wouldnt get caught in registration traffic or miss getting a T-shirt. Instead, I ended up standing in line for 65 minutes on race morning to pick up my packet, and then found out there were no more Tshirts. Supposedly preregistering "guaranteed" a T-shirt, and also would help sidestep the long lines.
Suggestions:
-Separate registration lines by race distance. Have a Half line, a 10k line and a 5k line.
-Keep race-day registration farther away so the lines are not so confusing.
-Order more T-shirts! And then pack T-shirts in the packets of people who preregistered online. (That way you can follow through on your promise of guaranteed T-shirt).
-Packet pick-up on the night before the race needed to stay open till 8pm or even 10pm. That would drastically alleviate the registration traffic from race day morning. Many people can not make it from work to packet pick up before 6pm.
